Backstory: Earthbenders are known for being rough from sparring to life or death. Often, when they'd battle each other, they'd get hurtled into other earthly objects. As to avoid the secondary damage of being slammed into the ground or wall, they would naturally develop this technique to negate it.

What it does: User can, for that short post, take little to no damage and quickly recover from being thrown towards Earth surface. This is done by quickly taking control of the earth in the position and making it so it won't physically harm them. In result, the earth around the area of impact is turned into many small rocks. Thus, examples of use are jumping off a cliff and landing on Earth already being able to move forward or being thrown towards a cliff and already being able to run on the cliff once hitting it.
If the user knows Metalbending, this can also be done with metal surfaces.
If the user knows Sand bending, this can also be done with sand surfaces to avoid sinking from the impact.
